Locally-grown and internationally recognized women’s knitwear designer, Paula Hian, is partnering with The Merchants Fund to help raise money for small businesses through proceeds from the sale of face masks.
Paula Hian designs her art-inspired and timeless collection of knitwear, all made in France. A Premier Prix winner of the Concours International Des Jeunes Createurs De Mode competition in Paris, Paula’s winning dress is found in the permanent collection of the Louvre. Her eponymous label was subsequently born, with France stamped forever as the birthplace of her career. Immersing herself in the art, architecture and culture that surround her there, she spends her days both in Philadelphia and in France sourcing and sketching.
Paula’s desire to support small business owners in need during the crisis we collectively face goes directly to the heart of what the founders of The Merchants Fund intended in 1854: to provide mutual aid and financial support when there was nowhere else to turn. This is what it looks like to take care of each other.
Masks can be purchased at www.PaulaHian.com. Select The Merchants Fund at checkout to direct 5% of the proceeds to TMF’s Merchant Relief Fund.
