The Merchants Fund opened offices in the summer of 2007 in downtown Philadelphia after a twenty-five year hiatus outside the City. Since that time, TMF has provided support to over a thousand small businesses. Jig-Saw Supplies, Inc.

Jig-Saw Supplies, Inc. has two locations: Rising Sun Ave in the Feltonville neighborhood and Snyder Avenue in the West Passyunk neighborhood. The company sells exterminating supplies and does extermination services.

Johnny’s All American Pizza

Johnny’s All American Pizza is located in the Port Richmond neighborhood of Philadelphia. They’re a local mom and pop pizza shop and have been around for almost 20 years.

Mt Airy Violins & Bows1

Located in Mt. Airy and lodged firmly on Germantown Avenue, Mt. Airy Violins and Bows offers an array of services from restoration and repair to renting and rehairing, not to mention their custom crafted bows and string instruments. It’s a woman-owned company that also has a small space for concerts.

New Olympia House Inc.

The New Olympia House Inc. is a family friendly, second generation, mom and pop restaurant and bar in the Oxford Circle/Castor neighborhood.

Osagame Martial Arts and Fitness Center

Osagame Martial Arts and Fitness Center is located just north of the Ellsworth Federal station. It’s a mature, local fitness center that specializes in Jujitsu. They offer an array of classes for adults and children, from beginner to experienced. They also have room for those who are members of the dojo to strength train and work out.

Paulino Grocery Inc.

Paulino Grocery Inc. is an minority-owned grocery store in North Philadelphia, one of only a few places to get groceries in the area. They work hard and know their customers well.

Philadelphia Print Shop

The Philadelphia Print Shop occupies a major corner in Chestnut Hill. The owner, Donald Cresswell is a world class expert of antiques and has even appeared on Antiques Roadshow. He has a large repository of original antique maps and prints ranging from the sixteenth century through the early twentieth century.

Home Hero LLC

The Home Hero LLC services the whole Greater Philadelphia Area by being a one stop shop for all your handyman needs. They offer bundled handy-man services and if they can’t do it themselves, they know someone who can. The owner has a crew of 13+ subcontractors, which he manages virtually. They are all bonded and licensed.

Tailored Transitions, LLC and Tailored Home

Located on Germantown Avenue in Chestnut Hill, Tailored Transitions and Tailored Home is a vertically integrated company with four nested tiers: staging for real estate sales, packing & moving, curating possessions for downsizing, and interior design and retail.

East Oak Lane Community Action Association

East Oak Lane Community Action Association is an all volunteer organization serving ‘quality of life’ needs of those living within the Philadelphia neighborhood of East Oak Lane. It was established in 1970, but has seen an effort to re-kick their efforts in gear within this growing community.


SEAMACC’s mission is to “support immigrants, refugees, and their families as they seek access to opportunities , which would advance the condition of their lives in the United States.” This nonprofit evolved out of the mass immigrations that started in the 1970’s from Southeast Asia at the end of the Vietnam conflict.

Angie’s Auto Tags Inc.

Angie’s Auto Tags, Inc is a Latina & woman-owned business located in North Philadelphia on West Wyoming Ave.  She has a steady revenue stream for her auto tag business as she was a former Allstate broker and had some of her clients follow her.

Bengelema Grocery Store

Located on Woodland Avenue, just below Mt. Moriah Cemetery, sits Bengelema Grocery Store.  It’s a locally-owned, immigrant-owned grocery spot that sells traditional African food along with a mixed inventory of fresh, frozen, and shelf-stable foods.

DK Dollar+Grocery

DK Dollar+Grocery is an immigrant-owned corner store with a brilliant sharp red awning located on Woodland Avenue just past 65th Street.  It’s in an excellently foot-trafficked location and serves a lot of the local residents.  

EK Multiservice LLC

EK Multiservice LLC is located in West Kensington just north of Lehigh Avenue.  It’s a Latino and woman-owned, growth company with another location on 2851 Kensington Ave.
