Monarch Hardware is a family owned hardware business on Walnut Street between the Spruce Hill and University City Districts.  They are an Ace Hardware franchise and provide all types of hardware services and retail needs.

Monarch Hardware was looking to update their signage and appearance, as well as, reach out to the greater West Philadelphia community to increase sales.  In partnership with The Enterprise Center and The Center for Community Partnerships at University of Pennsylvania, a team of professionals and students will provide the expertise to retool this neighborhood hardware store.

Capital improvements helped to revitalize their inventory structure and attract new customers by promoting Monarch Hardware with a higher visual presence.  Monarch’s position in his market is ideal, he is able to work with future and current home buyers with the hopes that could induce more buzz around his facility.  This will revitalize other businesses in the region, promoting jobs and enhancing community safety.
