Unveiled Philadelphia
Stabilization Grant, Spring 2015
The Erace family has run an event planning business for 35+ years, and three years ago the matriarch of the family started Unveiled Philadelphia, a bridal gown business located on Washington Square West. She has a very high touch, appointment only company in an historic building. This is not the place for economy shopping but for full on weddings and black-tie formalwear for women. The space has a seating area for friends and family and a runway with mirrors for fittings.
Like most fashion lines, if you want to add a brand you have to place a full line order to become a vendor. Unveiled Philadelphia carries five designers and she wants to pick up two more. She applied for a Stabilization grant of up to $10,000 for inventory purchases. The increase in inventory is costly, but it has the potential to increase her customer base’s loyalty and reach.
