Help Us Grow

Since 1854, The Merchants Fund (TMF) has provided support to merchants and small businesses during times of financial need and hardship. TMF remains the only organization in the Philadelphia region whose sole mission is to provide direct financial support to struggling merchants and small businesses.

If you believe – as we do – that small businesses are vital to our neighborhoods and the lifeblood of our communities, please consider a tax-deductible donation to The Merchants Fund.

You can also support us by check or through the donor-advised fund of your choice. Our tax ID number is 23-1584975.

The Merchants Fund is a 501(c)(3) public charity. All donations are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law; please consult your tax advisor for specific tax guidance. No goods or services will be received in exchange for your donation; you may, however, experience warm fuzzy feelings.

Vientiane Cafe is known to locals as a Lao and Thai fusion restaurant. Established in 2002, it became the first restaurant in the Philadelphia area to offer Lao dishes with a twist. The bistro’s rich history combined with their commitment to utilize their grant to improve their business and the community around them earns them this week’s inspiring grantee spotlight.
